We’re here to help you navigate firearm and gun transactions at Value Pawn & Jewelry confidently and securely. Before you engage in any firearm transaction, it's important to understand the process and requirements. Federal and state laws regulate the sale, purchase, and pawn of firearms, focusing on safety.

At Value Pawn & Jewelry, we adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, including mandatory background checks, licensing, waiting periods, and proper documentation for each firearm transaction. We do not carry ammunition.

It's also important to note that laws may vary by state, which affects the way firearms are bought, sold, and pawned. Being informed about these requirements can help streamline the process.

Our friendly and experienced Team Members are trained to provide guidance and support you throughout the transaction. Now let’s explore pawning, buying, and selling guns at a pawn shop like Value Pawn & Jewelry.

The Step-by-Step Process of Pawning Your Firearm

To begin, we ask that your firearm be unloaded and safely contained within a case. Bring your firearm and a valid government-issued ID to our store. Our trained Team Members will then assess the condition and value of your firearm, offering you a fair loan amount1.

Once you agree to the short-term loan terms, we'll securely store your firearm in a safe place. Our flexible loan renewal and extension options2 allow you to manage your pawn loan payments on your own terms. And now you can manage it directly from the EZ+ app. We handle every aspect of the pawning process with the utmost discretion and professionalism, ensuring your peace of mind. Once you pay off your pawn loan, plus interest and fees, and are ready to redeem your firearm, per federal law, you will need to successfully pass a background check in order for us to release your item to you1. In addition, holding periods or other requirements may apply, depending on where the transaction is taking place.

If you decide to not pay off the loan, your firearm will become our possession and we will resell it. Should you wish to re-purchase your firearm from us, a passed background check will be required.

Maximizing Your Firearm's Value: Tips for Sellers

If you're looking to sell your firearm for quick cash, the goal is to maximize its value. At Value Pawn & Jewelry, we recommend cleaning and maintaining your firearm to ensure it's in the best possible condition before bringing it in for an evaluation. Gather any accessories, documentation, and original packaging, as these can increase the value of your firearm3.

Our knowledgeable staff will evaluate your firearm based on its condition, make, model, and market demand. By following these tips you can get a competitive price and quick cash when selling guns to a pawn shop.
